Nilesh Nirbhavane, a back up dancer from the film ‘ABCD-2’, has been arrested for the rape of a differently abled 14-year-old girl.
Nirbhavne confessed his crime at the Pant Nagar Police Station in Mumbai and was then taken into custody on June 25th. He has been booked under IPC sections 376D (gang rape), 377 (unnatural offences) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) a report in DNA said.
Nirbhavne, along with a friend, had been raping the girl repeatedly for a month by taking her to isolated places, a police officer from the Pant Nagar Police Station said.
The girl’s parents filed the complaint after her teacher reportedly observed something out of the ordinary. After she questioned, the teacher found out that the teenager was being sexually abused by three boys. The victim’s parents were immediately informed.
Even though three people had been accused by the victim, the involvement of only two people has been confirmed by the Police. While Nirbhavne has been taken into custody, the other accused is at large and a search operations are underway.
