Seven minor Rohingya migrants were arrested on Sunday, 3 February, from the Kanchanjunga Express on their way to Assam, The Indian Express reported.

The migrant children - six girls and one boy - were detained at Dharmanaga Railway Station in North Tripura and handed over to the Tripura police, the report said.

Quoting the Railway Protection Force (RPF) assistant sub inspector Laxman Debbarma, the report said, "They were on board the Kanchanjungha Express and had general category tickets from Agartala till Badarpur junction in Assam. Some of them alighted on the station and were behaving suspiciously. So we detained them and later found out they were Rohingyas from Myanmar."

Recently in January, the BSF arrested 31 Rohingya migrants at Indo-Bangladesh border.
