Young Malayalam Film Producer Ends Life After Debuting His Film

Ajay Krishnan ended his life after watching a preview of his new film “Avarude Ravukal”.

Twenty-nine-year-old, Ajay Krishnan, the producer of upcoming Malayalam film “Avarude Ravukal” was found hanging at his residence in Kollam on Saturday after previewing his film.

“Avarude Ravukal” starring Asif Ali, Unni Mukundan, Aju Varghese, Vinay Fort, Honey Rose, Lena and others - under the banner of Ajay Entertainment - was his debut film as a producer. Reports indicate that Ajay committed suicide owing to financial issues.

He was concerned over the success of the film at the box office. He had also shared his concern with his parents. It seems that the film cost him Rs 4 crore and he was facing financial crisis. This might have forced him to take the extreme step.

After conducting a post-mortem at the district hospital, the body was handed over to his relatives.

Actors including Honey Rose, Asif Ali and Unni Mukundan expressed their condolences on social media.
