Two Terror Suspects Released After Verification in Gujarat

Sketches made with Naved’s help led to detention of two suspects in Tapi district of Gujarat.

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad held and released two terror suspects matching sketch of Naved’s absconding aides.

The two residents of Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir were caught at songadh check-post on Gujarat-Maharashtra border and were handed over to Gujarat ATS.

They had come to Gujarat by train and were detained when they were on the way to Malegaon in Maharashtra by a bus.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had issued sketches of two absconding accomplices of Naved Yakub on Tuesday.

Zarghan alias Mohammed Bhai, aged about 38-40 years, and Abu Okasha, aged about 17-18 years, are suspected to be involved, along with Naved, in the attack on BSF convoy in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.
