- Three suspected associates of gangster Chhota Shakeel, Faisal Juneja, Hanif Shaikh and Mohamad Mansuri, were arrested on Friday by the anti-extortion cell of Mumbai crime branch. They confessed to threatening a builder.
- The complainant purchased a warehouse at Masjid Bunder from Faisal and Hanif in February but hadn’t got possession yet. Faisal’s father said that Chhota Shakeel had warned the trio against giving possession.
- A few days ago, the three accused went to the complainant’s office and warned against asking for his money back. If he did, he would have to pay Rs 1 crore and risk being killed by Chhota Shakeel. A complaint was then filed at the Azadnagar police station.
