A Bengaluru-based techie, who turned into an alleged online drug peddler has been arrested by the Central Crime Branch officers, following a tip-off from an unknown person on Facebook.
Bangalore Mirror reported that Susheel Kumar Moosad, who stayed in Ramamurthynagar area in Bengaluru, possessed 1.1 kg of ganja and LSD blotters. He was arrested on charges of drug trafficking, using social media.
A police official from the Central Crime Branch told Bangalore Mirror that Susheel used social media to sell drugs and was getting popular very fast. “He had taken drug peddling to different level altogether. He was using Facebook to lure his customers. He had posted pictures of himself smoking pot and had also given his contact details,” he said.
Susheel on his Facebook page “Bangalore Cannabis”, posted a few days ago saying: “Prison is for rapists, thieves and murderers. If you lock someone up for smoking a plant that makes them happy, you are the *&%$&# criminal.”
Cops, who disguised as customers made a deal with Susheel to deliver the drugs near Hebbal on Outer Ring Road, nabbed him when he arrived, said BM report.
The newspaper reported that cop seized LSD (lysergic acid diethyl-amide) blotters worth Rs 30,000, weed and one mobile phone.
BM reported that Susheel, who has been an addict for 16 years, came up with this idea to become a peddler.
