The Crime Branch arrested two persons on Thursday, 7 December, in connection with the 7 October murder of an octogenarian woman and her three daughters in their house in Mansarovar Park in New Delhi’s Shahdara.
A day earlier on Wednesday, 6 December, the police had arrested five person. A senior official said the five people arrested by the police are related to the security guard, who was also killed along with the women.
The bodies of Urmila Jindal (82), her daughters – Sangeeta Gupta (56), Nupur Jindal (48) and Anjali Jindal (38), and their security guard Rakesh (42) were found with multiple stab wounds on 7 October inside their apartment in Jindal Oil Mills building.
NDTV India reported that the mill, which was lying in a defunct state for years, was owned by seven brothers. The women were recognised to be the relatives of the brothers.
