Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set for a full day of museum visits.
As shared on the official Twitter handle of PMO India, PM Modi will inaugurate a Museum on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Indian National Army on Wednesday, 23 January. He will also visit three other museums, namely, Yaad-e-Jallian Museum (Museum on Jallianwala Bagh and World War 1), Museum on 1857- India’s First War of Independence and Drishyakala- Museum on Indian Art at Red Fort, New Delhi.
The Museum on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Indian National Army has been constructed on the first floor of the Red Fort barracks where soldiers were court-martialed and tried by the British, reported Hindustan Times. On Wednesday, the inauguration of the museum will mark 123rd birth anniversary of Bose.
The 'Yaad-e-Jallian' museum, also newly constructed, intends to take visitors through the history of Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919, reported IANS and also provide reflections of the lives and sacrifices made by Indian soldiers during World War-1.
The museum on 1857- India’s First War of Independence projects the valour of Indians during the 1857 war.
Drishyakala- Museum on Indian Art, also built on the Red Fort, shows contemporary paintings, an ASI official reportedly informed HT.
