National security to be main agenda in RSS meeting

Jaipur, Sep 6 (IANS) Women empowerment, health, and national security are the core issues to be discussed during the RSS' Akhil Bharatiya Samanvyay Baithak (All India Coordination Meeting) to be organised in Pushkar from September 7-9 this year, said Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Arun Kumar while addressing a press conference in Pushkar on Friday.
He said a special report has been drafted after thorough research on rural, young and working women. Around 200 members, to be present here, shall share their thoughts on the same and will work on it in their respective areas. The survey has also been made on scheduled caste and tribes and workers shall also work to implement the same in their respective regions.
Brainstorming sessions and exchange of thoughts shall also take place on national security on water and land borders among other issued related to development, migration and employment.
It will be discussed how different offshoots of RSS can contribute to the cause of national security. Presently, Seema Jagran and Sagar Bharati are working in this context, he said adding that the main issue to be discussed will be national security.
Such a meeting is organised once a year. Last year, this meeting was organised in Andhra Pradesh.
He also said that issues such as population growth and Ram temple are not proposed for discussion but if someone tables it, then they might be discussed.
On September 9, Dattatreya Hosabale shall brief media on major discussions held during the meeting, Kumar said.
In last year's meeting, issues such as inculcating values in youths, environment, water crisis etc. were discussed. The workers shall share their experience and achievements made in this direction.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat, RSS 'Sahkaryawah' (general secretary) Suresh Bhaiyaji Joshi and joint general secretaries Krishna Gopal and Dattatreya Hosabale, among others shall attend the meeting.
