Dipti has now been sent for a medical test.

Her statements on the alleged abduction are now being verified and no conclusion has been reached yet. The UP Police will hold a press briefing in Lucknow at 5 pm.

Her father, Narendra, had earlier revealed to reporters how she had managed to reach home.

Narendra Sarna also said the auto she had boarded from Vaishali Metro station broke down midway, after which the next shared auto she boarded had 3 men and 1 girl already on board. They threatened Dipti with a knife and let the other girl go while taking Dipti into captivity.

Just after she was reunited with family, Ghaziabad Police had said Dipti had been reported missing 30 hours ago and the police had launched a search mission since then, deploying 200 personnel on the task. They added that it was too early to say if she was drugged.

Dipti’s grandfather, KN Sarna said that at 6.00 am Dipti called up her father Narendra Sarna from an unknown mobile number and told him that she had managed to flee from Karnal and had reached the New Delhi Railway station, IANS reports. While returning from Delhi, Ghaziabad police intercepted Narendra’s car and escorted them to the Vaishali police station for questioning.

Early Friday morning, Snapdeal tweeted that the missing employee had been reunited with her family.
