In an earlier news report, sources were quoted saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to overhaul his cabinet to weed out underperformers and improve his government’s image. Sources also said that the problem he was facing was that he couldn’t find the right replacements.
Also quoted in the article was BJP Vice President Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, who said, “Compared to the Congress, we have a smaller talent pool and less exposure, but it’s only a matter of time that we expand our base”.
“No, I was misquoted,” was what Sahasrabuddhe said after his comments about “lack of talent” in the BJP went public.
Speaking with CNN-IBN, Saharasrabuddhe clarified what he meant.
I have been misquoted, I said that Congress was in power for more time thats why they have more experienced people. There is absolutely no dearth of talent in BJP and my point was only about lack of exposure.
