Ministry of External Affairs has finally taken a look into the matter of attack on the Tanzanian girl. In a press conference, Vikas Swarup, the official spokesperson of MEA said that this attack should be seen as an isolated incident. He further added that it was a situation of road rage after an accident that got out of hand.
The attack on Tanzanian girl had attracted strong reactions from the Tanzanian envoy at New Delhi. Mr Swarup assured that all African friends have been assured legal help.
A team from the MEA, alongwith the High Commissioner of Tanzania, will visit Bengaluru on Friday. The team includes Joint Secretary (States), Director Eastern and Southern Africa in MEA and the Regional Director of ICCR, he said, adding that the Central and state governments will extend full cooperation to the investigation into the case.
Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj had expressed her concern on this ghastly incident on twitter.
Previously, 5 suspects were nabbed on Thursday morning for attacking the Tanzanian girl.
