According to The Times of India sources in Uttarakhand police, Shaktiman’s rider has told his seniors that Joshi had indeed attacked the horse, though the actual injury to the leg may have been caused when the horse hit a rod, lost its balance and fell. As per the rider’s account, after Joshi hit the horse and the mob followed suit, it started stepping back. When some members of the mob caught its reins, it hit a rod lying there and fell.
