Mumbai, Nov 28 (IANS) Former Indian skipper Kapil Dev became nostalgic on dance reality TV show "Dance Plus 4" after seeing dancers showcasing his journey from childhood to winning the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
"The way contestants have depicted that memory of the 1983 World Cup moment took me back to when I held the trophy in my hand after winning the crucial match. It made me so emotional and made me relive those moments again...," Dev said in a statement.
Dev was invited as a special guest on the StarPlus' show, where participants paid tribute to the legendary cricketer.
Reminiscing his journey, the 59-year-old advised the next-gen to keep their passion alive.
"It is our passion which helps us in fulfilling our dreams. When I was a kid, all I knew that I wanted to play games, the love for cricket followed.
"After watching the contestants, I remembered my younger days and I would just like to say that keep your passion alive and compete with yourself, which will eventually help you in achieving success".
