Four persons arrested on 13 September, for allegedly raping two women at Manpura village in Haryana's Pataudi, have made a shocking confession.
According to an HT report, the four gangsters, during police interrogation, have admitted to their involvement in the horrific Mewat rapes and double murders, the Jewar gangrape and robbery, and the Bulandshahr highway gangrape case.
Besides these three mind numbing crimes, they have also confessed to their involvement in almost 150 crimes, including rape, murder, and dacoity in Delhi-NCR and neighbouring states, reported HT.
HT also reported that the four involved are Dharmu alias Lucky (20), Munn alias Ayaan (20), Lambu alias Tulli alias Vinay (31) and Rajbir alias Nahar Singh (20). While the first two belong to Delhi, Vinay is from Ballabhgarh and Nahar Singh – also the alleged kingpin of the organisation – is from the Jhajjar district in Haryana. Nahar Singh also carries a reward of Rs 5,000 on his head.
The Three Astonishing Cases
On 24 August 2016, four men had broken into a house in Dingerheri village in Mewat, beaten a couple to death, gangraped their two nieces, and fled with valuables. According to a TOI report, one of the rape victims is a minor.
On 25 May 2017, a family of eight, travelling from Jewar in Greater Noida to Bulandshahr, were robbed of Rs 1.5 lakh cash and other valuables by a group of six robbers. Four women were raped, and one male member was also killed for resisting the robbers, said an HT report.
On 29 July 2016, six to seven persons raped a 35-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter in a field along a national highway, near Bulandshahr. According to an HT report, the gang also tied up the male members.
TOI has reported that the police refers to the four men as the 'axle gang.'
