A massive fire broke out at a mattress godown in Delhi's Mundka area on Thursday, 25 January. Two firemen sustained minor injuries in the blaze, an official from the Delhi Fire Services told reporters. The injured firemen have been identified as Manish and Ranbir.
The fire, that was reported at the godown at 9.25 am, also engulfed a scrap dealer's shop, a shoe godown and another factory. According to reports, a total of 35 fire tenders were called in to fight the blaze.
The incident comes a week after 17 people, including 10 women, were killed in a blaze that broke out at a "cold firecrackers" unit in Bawana.
