Sasaram (Bihar), May 14 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday accused the Congress of arrogance and said it attempted to erase the name of B.R. Ambedkar from history and insulted party veteran Jagjivan Ram.
Addressing an election meeting here, Modi said it was arrogance that the Congress had no regrets over the scams and corruption and the misery heaped on farmers during its rule.
"Congress ka ahankar satve aasman pe hai" (Congress arrogance is at its peak)," he said.
Modi further said political leaders who had exploited the commoners were now abusing him. "Bihar's people had voted them out and out of desperation they are abusing me."
The Prime Minister appealed to the people to vote for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Chedi Paswan from Sasaram seat.
Modi said people's love "is my real capital and I have been getting overwhelming blessings and support from people".
