- Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) today seized 1.99 kg of cocaine, estimated to be worth around Rs 10 crore, from a woman passenger at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA). The cocaine has been seized under NDPS Act 1985.
- Based on specific intelligence, officers of the DRI (Hyderabad Zonal Unit) intercepted one woman passenger, who arrived from Dubai by Emirates flight at RGIA.
The officers recovered substance in the form of white lumpy powder, which tested positive for cocaine by the field drug test kit. The drug was deftly concealed inside the covers of five books lined with aluminium foils being carried by her in the hand baggage.M K Singh, Additional Director General, Hyderabad City Police
