Faridabad's Jat-dominated Bhanakpur village will now wake up to the call of the national anthem. According to The Indian Express, 20 loudspeakers have been installed in Bhanakpur to help over 5,000 villagers sing the national anthem every morning at 8 am.

This will make Bhanakpur the first village in Haryana and the second village in India to do so.

Bhanakpur's sarpanch Sachin Madotia, a 24-year-old RSS member, initiated the same on Thursday, 4 December, reported The Indian Express. Local Bahujan Samaj Pary (BSP) MLA Tek Chand Sharma, Faridabad's Sub-Divisional Magistrate Pratap Singh, and RSS Haryana co-convenor Ganga Shankar also attended the inauguration.

Madotia, in an interview to The Indian Express, he said that the village panchayat has spent Rs 2.97 lakh for the installation of the loudspeakers and a control room has been set up at his house itself.

I have taken this idea from village Jammikunta of Telangana where people sing the national anthem together.
Sachin Madotia, Bhanakpur’s sarpanch, to The Indian Express

A state government press note said:

Jammikunta has become the first village to do so and now Bhanakpur with a population of more than 5,000 has become the second in the country and first in Haryana.

The sarpanch also informed The Indian Express that they had planned to sing the national anthem twice a day but had finally decided on following the practise once daily.

The village has also installed 22 CCTV cameras, reported The Indian Express.
