- Dairy cooperative Amul has hiked its milk prices by Re 1 per pouch of both half and one litre in the Delhi-NCR region, effective 3 May.
- Amul’s Managing Director RS Sodhi said that the hike comes as procurement prices have increased by 19-20 per cent in last two years, and after Delhi-NCR, Amul is planning to increase rates in other regions like Gujarat and Maharashtra.
- Meanwhile, Mother Dairy, another major milk suppliers to Delhi-NCR, said they have no such plans.
