A 3-Year-Old Falls Into 100-Feet Deep Borewell in Surendranagar

A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been called in from Ahmedabad to save the girl

A three-year-old girl fell into a borewell at Juna Ghanshyamgadh village in Dhrangadhra taluka of Surendranagar district this evening, a district official said.

A local rescue team and a team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been called in from Ahmedabad to save the girl, District Collector Udit Agarwal said.

The girl slipped 100-feet down into the borewell, which was dug up by an individual to draw underground water.The incident took place at around 7 PM.

The borewell was around 100-125 feet deep and the girl is believed to be stuck at a depth of 100 feet.

NDRF team and fire department officials are on their way to the site from Ahmedabad, he said.
