Emmanuel Macron on Sunday made history by becoming the youngest-ever French leader since Napoleon, defeating far-right nationalist Marine Le Pen. While world leaders took to congratulating the newly elected French President and analysts were busy interpreting the election result, Twitter reacted to Macron’s historic victory in its own unique way.

From drawing parallels between Donald Trump and Macron, to poking fun at both PM Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi, to even comparing the incoming French President to macaroons, tweets on Macron were the order of the day.
