NCR is in the Midst of an ‘Air’pocalypse and readers are angry.

A blanket of thick haze enveloped Delhi on Tuesday, 7 November, as pollution levels breached the permissible standards by multiple times.

While the government has ordered the schools to be shut and all construction activities to be stopped, experts say that the air quality is already beyond ‘severe’ and action is needed on a war footing.

A handful of parents told The Quint that they want much more stringent measures to be taken.

We have also been getting several reactions from our readers who are angry and agitated at the current situation.

Here are some #PollutionKaSolution straight from our readers.

One of our readers feels that pollution-related problems are largely for the ‘middle and lower income citizens’ since the privileged can afford to protect themselves.

Others blamed garbage burning and stubble burning in Punjab and Haryana. While many felt that the cracker ban did no good!

Readers also feel that the Delhi government has let them down badly by letting the situation worsen and not taking adequate steps beforehand.

Some feel that the ignorance of the people has resulted in reaching this point. The solution some say is to leave the city!

If you feel you have a solution that can help save the city then please do write to us and we will take your voice to the concerned authorities.
