TS Inter Re-evaluation Result; 1,137 Failed Students Now Passed

Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has declared the TS Manabadi Inter examination re-evaluation result. The students can check their result at https://tsbie.cgg.gov.in/home.do or http://bie.telangana.gov.in/

Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) had been earlier directed by the Telangana high court to re-evaluate answer scripts of over three lakh students who had failed in the Intermediate first and second year examinations. The date to declare the result after revaluation was 27 May.

Out of the 3.8 lakh students whose answer scripts were re-verified as they had failed in the examination in March, 1,137 of them are declared passed. 552 candidates who passed were from the second year and are now eligible for higher studies. The remaining 585 students were from the first year.

4,09,133 students had appeared for the first year examination in regular format out of which 2,47,407 students passed which is 60.5%.

3,82,534 students had appeared for the second year examination on regular basis and 64.8% students cleared the examination which is 2,47,755 students.

Huge discrepancies were found in the results. Several students who had earlier scored 90% marks in the first year had failed in the second year. A huge number of students had filed complaints regarding getting zero, one or two marks in the subjects.

According to Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education, the answer scripts of 53 students were specifically re-verified. These included the answer scripts of 23 candidates who had killed themselves.

A three-member committee was appointed by the board to look into the complaints. The committee stated that there is no significant variation in the pass percentage of 2019 when compared to last two year results.
