The India Post has vacancy for 1,735 Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), as per the official announcement. There are vacancies in three postal circles namely, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Jharkhand. These vacancies are for 1,735 Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) as Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak.
The post office or the India Post is a part of the Ministry of Communications under the Government of India. Candidates who have cleared their high school examinations are eligible to apply for the India Post 2019 Gramin Dak Sevaks. They can apply for the same on the official website.
WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA?
Applicant should have at least cleared his/her 10th board examinations with Mathematics and English. Age limit for applying for the Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) is 18 to 40 years. For SC/ST and OBC candidates, an age relaxation of 5 and 3 years is given respectively. An applicant can not apply for more than twenty posts.
WHAT ARE THE DEADLINES?
The application process for the India Post Recruitment 2019 of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) as started on 6 June 2019. The interested candidates can apply for the post of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak in Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Jharkhand circles till 5 July 2019.
WHEN WILL THE FORMS FOR INDIA POST APPLICATION BE AVAILABLE?
The application form for the India Post Recruitment 2019 will be available between 13 June and 12 July 2019.
WHAT IS THE APPLICATION FEES?
The unreserved/ OBC/EWS male applicants are charged a fee of Rs 100 is charged as the application fees for each set of five choices whereas the female applicants do not have to pay any fees for applying. The candidates need to send their duly filled India Post Application Form 2019 to their nearest Head Post Office.
WHAT ARE THE REGION WISE VACANCIES?
There are 804 posts vacant in the Jharkhand circle whereas for the Delhi and Himachal Pradesh circles, 174 and 757 posts are vacant respectively.
HOW WILL THE APPLICANTS BE SELECTED?
The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit list. This will take into account marks scored by the candidates in their Class 10 examinations. The higher education degrees will not be taken into consideration.
WHAT IS THE SALARY BEING OFFERED?
The selected candidates will get Rupees 12,000 monthly for the post of Branch Post Master whereas the selected candidates for the post of Assistant Branch Postmaster/Dak Sevak will receive Rupees 10,000/moth as their salary.
