The Delhi University is starting it’s admission procedure for the undergraduate programmes for the year 2019-2020 today, i.e., 30 May 2019 whereas, the registration process for postgraduate (PG) programmes, postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Security and Law and for M Phil or PhD programmes will commence from 3 June 2019.
Delhi University will also be holding ‘Open Days’ to help aspirants understand the admission process on 31 May, 3 June and 8 June at the North Campus Conference and it will be held at various off campus colleges on 4, 6, 7 and 10 June.
Here is a step-by-step guide for helping the students in filling the Delhi University (DU) forms with ease.
How to Fill the DU Application Form 2019
Step 1: Registration
Follow these instructions to register online:
- Visit http://du.ac.in/ug-ad.html for UG admissions and http://du.ac.in/pg-ad.html for PG admissions.
- Click on the ‘New Applicant Signup’ tab to start DU registration process
- To create the new user account, click on the ‘New Registration’ link
- On the ‘Create New Account’ page, enter all the necessary details in the fields marked with an (*)
- Enter your active/valid email ID and mobile number
- Select a security question and its answer which will help you revive the registered account if forgotten
- Create a password with a minimum of eight characters
- Click on the ‘Register’ option given at the bottom
- A confirmation notification will be received by the candidates
- Click on the ‘Continue to Homepage’ tab to continue with the Delhi University 2019 application form
Step 2: Application Form
After completing the registration process click on the ‘back to home page’ tab to continue the application procedure.
Section 1: Personal Details
The personal details in the application form is divided into five sections including Personal Details, Family Details, Other category/Quota, Address Details and Bank Details.
Cross check all the information before clicking the ‘Submit’ button at the end of the page. A window with the fields entered will appear. You can also edit the details before clicking the ‘next’ button.
Section 2: Academic Details
Candidates have to fill their academic details starting from the latest educational qualification in this section.
Section 3: Merit-Based
The candidates wanting to appear for the merit-based course need to click ‘yes’. A window with different courses under the merit-based system will now appear.
Section 4: Entrance Based
Follow the same procedure as given above after selecting the subject of your choice, one needs to select the exam centre you wish to appear for. This is applicable for the entrance-based courses
Section 5 and 6: Sports or ECA
If you wish to apply under the sports or ECA quota click on the appropriate option
Section 7: Uploads
Upload scanned images of your passport size photograph, signature class X and class XII result
Section 8: Preview
You will be shown a preview of the application form including the uploaded passport size photograph and the signature. Check all the details and click the ‘go to payment’ tab below.
Section 9: Payment
You can pay through credit card, debit card, internet banking and UPI as well.
Last Step: Download & Print Application
After paying the fee, the students can take printout of the application.
- Click on “Print Form” option.
- Take the print-out of the submitted application form and keep it safe for further use.
DU Admissions: Documents Required While Filling The Form
Keep the following documents ready while filling the admission form for DU:
- Class XII certificate/Marksheet
- Class X Certificate/Marksheet
- Scanned images of Signature, passport size photograph and certificates
- Sports and ECA certificates (If applicable)
