The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made changes in the assessment of the board examinations to be held in 2020 for class 10 and class 12 students.
The revised assessment has been published on the official website. According to this, it is necessary for the students to pass in each section of the exam. This sections here refers to theory, practicals, project or internal assessment.
Students of class 10 and 12 now have to be aware of each component of the subject for the examination as they have to clear it separately by obtaining 33 percent marks in each section.
The section is divided into two parts for most of the subjects which are theory and practical. So for example, if the theory section consists of 80 marks, whereas, the practical section consists of 20 marks, the student have to score at least 26 marks in the theory and 6 marks in the practical to pass the examination.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently informed all the schools affiliated to it with a circular which says that the CBSE sample papers released by the board are important for the class 10 and class 12 board examinations of 2020.
