BJP chief Amit Shah on Tuesday alleged that the West Bengal government was not letting the benefits of central developmental schemes percolate down to the grassroots.
Shah kicked-off his three-day political campaign in the state, holding booth-level public interactions and visiting some houses to interact with residents at Naxalbari, from where the Maoist movement in India was launched half a century back.
The Bengal government is not letting PM Modi’s schemes to percolate down to the grass roots. The schemes are working well in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. But we are facing difficulties in Bengal in delivering its benefits to the poor
He added that Bengal is becoming poorer day by day and had plunged into chaos due to the prevailing “unemployment, violence and appeasement politics”.
