BJP Minister Vijay Sampala’s attempted attack on Sonia and Rahul Gandhi backfired when users on Twitter expressed suspicion that the photo he had shared of PM Modi’s mother was photoshopped.
On 4 May, Sampala tweeted a picture from May 2014, of PM Modi’s mother Heeraben using an auto-rickshaw to commute, but it wasn’t long before Twitterati noticed a disembodied hand holding Heeraben’s arm.
And obviously, the floodgates opened.
“Photoshop Better Next Time”
Ghost? Godse? Or Nehru?
However it cannot be said for certain that the image of Heraban in question is indeed photoshopped. A study from Alt News, backed by various other pictures and videos, proves that Heraben did indeed take an auto to cast her vote in the May 2014 elections and that the abnormal placement of a hand over her arm might be a result of the angle in which the photograph was taken.
