The highest grossing film with a woman director is coming back with a second installment and the buzz is bigger than ever. The goddess is back – Wonder Woman 1984 is coming out soon.
Director Patty Jenkins teased the audience by putting out this poster on Twitter.
In the first movie of the series, Steve Trevor (played by Chris Pine) was killed during World War I. In the new poster, the character is seen looking as fine as ever, confusing the audience.
Could this be a spoiler or a Bollywood-style rebirth? Social media was abuzz with discussion.
Not only Jenkins but Gal Gadot also put out a picture where her character is seen standing in front of many TV sets.
This will be the fourth film under the DC Universe franchise featuring Wonder Woman. The first part of the series was released last summer and its box office numbers raised the bar very high. It grossed a whooping $412.5 million in North America and $821.8 million all over the world.
The official release date of Wonder Woman 1984 is Nov. 1, 2019.
