He held a Q&A on Twitter and was bombarded with flurry of questions, which he patiently replied to. One such question was if he was asked not to praise Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika trailer by his mentor Karan Johar?
Varun didn’t dodge this question and replied: “No he is not Yaa I really loved it.”
The trailer of Kanagana Ranaut starer Manikarnika is garneringa lot of appreciation and praise not just from the audience but also from celebrities as well. Kangana Ranaut is a co-director of the film in which she is playing a role of warrior princess, Laxmibai.
The question was posed to varun on twitter because Karan and Kangana had fallout after Kangana called Karan Johar ‘Flag bearer of Nepotism’ on his show Koffe With Karan. Later in response to this Karan asked queen Kangana to consider leaving film industry and stop playing the victim card.
The war of words kept on going and Kangana launched a scathing attack on Karan through an open letter in which she wrote: “The film industry is not Karan Johar ‘s inheritance that I should quit.”
As Manikarnika is going to hit the theatres on 25 January it would be interesting to see what reactions this movie is going to garner from the Bollywood.
