Twitterati went crazy after a legislation was introduced in the US House of Representatives, which calls for more than doubling the minimum salary of H-1B visa holders to USD 1,30,000. The law will make it difficult for companies to hire foreign workers in place of American workers. The current visa limit for H-1B was USD 60,000 which was established in 1989 and has remained unchanged ever since.
