On the tenth day of India’s nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19 caused by the novel coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 3 April addressed the nation yet again with a video message. The video message was shared at 9 am on Friday. In the message, Modi urged all Indians to switch off all lights on Sunday, 5 April at 9 pm for 9 minutes and light a candle or diya in their homes and balconies. As soon as the announcement was made, netizens took to Twitter to react.
