India is a melting pot of cultures. Its diversity gives a unique characteristic to different states across the country. A recent thread started by senior journalist, Rajdeep Sardesai, asking for responses about India’s ideal cities, went viral on Twitter.

Tweeple were quick to react and listed, which city, in their opinion, was the ideal place to stay.

Among the cities that were mentioned quite frequently included: Chandigarh, Pune, Indore and Hyderabad.

Chandigarh is often described as one of the most well-planned cities of India, which explains why the city is able to manage traffic congestion easily.

Well, one can’t really complain about living close to the famous beaches of Goa!

Sardesai also wrote about the metropolitan cities of India which make for an ‘ideal smart city’. He described the weather of Bengaluru as “stunning” while complimenting the food of delhi. The thread also revealed the beautiful and unique characteristics of Indian cities.
