Going viral for all the right reasons, The Present is a classic narrative of a boy getting a present and what follows next.
Based on a comic strip by Brazillian artist Fabio Coala, the film traces a few minutes of s boy’s life, who’s busy playing a video game. His mother then enters, only to place a huge cardboard box in front of him.
The surprise waiting for him in it?
An adorable dog! (Yes, all you dog lovers are allowed to gush now!)
While the boy is initially excited to hold the dog, he eventually, to utter dismay, discovers that the dog is three-legged.

The film has been directed by Jacob Frey and Markus Kranzlerand and was featured in 180 film festivals, receiving over 50 awards.
The short has been wining hearts on social media too.
