What makes India unique? Amongst a host of factors, diversity is one of India’s most well-known attributes.

However, one article of clothing that is common to most cultures is the sari. Women across India wear the sari, albeit in many different forms.

The US Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) - MaryKay Carlson started an Internet-wide search for the perfect sari that she could wear at the Indian Independence day celebrations. People from across India helped her in her #SareeSearch. One year later, she has turned into a sari connoisseur with over 16 variants of the sari.
