It is shaadi season, allright. Not just in the desi heartland but across the world. Therefore, it wasn’t surprising when a nervous man conjured up a diamond ring to ask his lady love’s hand in marriahe at New York’s Time Square.
And, she said yes.
But in the excitement, the man dropped his precious wedding ring before it even made to her ring finger.
Luckily unsuspecting cupids are all over the place to unite couples in love or help them sail their life boat smoothly. In this case, it was New York Police Department, or as they are lovingly called, NYPD.
The cops twitted this out after ‘rescuing’ the solitaire and literally flashed their a helpline number to seek out the couple to return the ring.
This was enough fodder to send the Twitterati in frenzy -- they retweeted and quote tweeted -- some optimistic, some even cynical. Not to mention the ‘punny’ oneliners.
But of-course, punny one-liner weren’t enough to keep Twitterati satiated.
And at last there was good news with the missing couple also being located- and they postinga big thank you to the NYPD.
