Netflix’s homegrown thriller Sacred Games has made quite a dent in the pop-culture universe, international or otherwise, especially with the memes and shareable quotes. If you are an avid follower of the show, you must have come across the memes inspired by the Parle-G dialogue that features in the latest season of the show.

In the scene, one of the characters, ‘Bunty’ played by Jatin Sarna aka while talking to our very own desi Pablo Escobar AKA Ganesh Gaitonde, says: "Yaha Parle-G khaana pad raha hai kaali chai mein dubokar (We've been reduced to eating Parle-G with black tea)."

Since the second season released, there has been no dearth of memes on the internet over this very line. It led to several ‘month-end’ memes that mocked the average office goer’s predicament before his or her salary is credited.

And if you are thinking: what a perfect opportunity for the biscuit brand to ride the Netflix meme-wagon, you got it right. Parle-G, India’s best selling biscuit brand, hailing from a more conventional FMCG category, actually took to Twitter with this message.

The context being that Bunty is a struggling artist who went on to become famous in the show.

To this even Swiggy had replied with:

Fans of Sacred Games couldn't help give Parle-G a shout out for this cool social media move, some even wondering if Netflix and Parle-G had planned this together. All in all the Swiggy, Netflix and Parle-G brand banter on social media has definitely made the day for the fans of Sacred Games.
