Baahubali: The Beginning left everyone with just one question on their minds – why did Kattappa kill Baahubali? And it seems that PM Modi too wasn’t left untouched by the Baahubali frenzy.
In the run-up to the Uttar Pradesh elections, the PM had referred to the film – and Kattappa – while campaigning in Mau. Now, after the trailer of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion released on Thursday, the video of his speech has gone viral.
Saying Uttar Pradesh had become a safe haven for baahubalis (criminals-turned-politicans), the PM declared in the poll rally that things are all set to change. “In a recent film, a character called Kattappa destroyed Baahubali,” he said.
Then, amid loud cheers, he said BJP’s Mau candidate, too, had the power to take on baahubalis.
