This is not the first time the cab hire company has appeared in the the news for all the wrong reasons. Uber has come under fire over safety concerns in the past, particularly regarding the safety of women.

In a series of tweets, Dua asked her followers if somebody had contacts in Uber, and demanded answers. Uber Support got in touch with her via Twitter, and assured her there would be redressal. The driver has allegedly been barred from accessing the Uber app, and the company has promised support in case of further action.

Several users commented on the thread with Uber and Ola horror stories of their own, and also noted that such prompt action by Uber is a result of the ‘blue tick,’ referring to fact that Dua’s is a verified account and she also has more reach than the average Uber/Ola user.

Interestingly, both cab companies took the time to reply to reply to customer complaints, something they are notorious for ignoring.

The uncensored version of Dua’s tirade can be found on both Facebook and Twitter.
