Jet Airways passengers tweeted about mid-air horror after flight 9W 697 had to turn back to Mumbai because of a sharp drop in cabin pressure. More than 30 passengers felt dizzy and suffered nosebleeds and headaches. The crew reportedly forgot to flick a switch that helps regulate cabin air pressure.

After the Boeing 737 aircraft landed, passengers were taken to the airport terminal where doctors administered first aid.

Ministry of Civil Aviation has taken cognisance of the incident and ordered a report on the alleged error.

Jet Airways spokesperson said that “the crew has been taken off the roster pending an investigation.”
