From government ministries to famous cricket players, the cream of India’s crop have taken to Twitter like never before.

Unlike other nations, however, India can add an actual rocket to it’s growing list of Twitter personalities.

ISRO’s GSLV MK-3 took off on Monday and shared a video of its launch, which many deemed to be a selfie-style video.

The rocket was launched from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on Monday. Fondly called the ‘Monster Rocket’ by scientists, the launch vehicle is as high as a 13-storey building and can launch satellites as heavy as 4,000 kgs.

On the significance of the launch for ISRO, Chairman AS Kiran Kumar said, "It is an important event as we are putting our communication satellite from our own soil".

The footage from the on-board camera, displays the process of a rocket launch in a manner many of us have never seen before.

Twitter was unsurprisingly buzzing with pride!
