Have you ever felt bogged down by the ‘labels’ society puts on you? From the colour of your skin to your sexual orientation, do these labels stop you from being yourself, from expressing who you really are? Can you imagine how you would be had there been no labels to define you?
Hard to imagine, right?
Ishaan Sethi wishes to create that space. He plans to create India’s first ever LGBT Community app, Delta, that will focus on building a safe and free space where people can be who they are and talk freely with people who think alike.
The primary idea behind Delta is three faced:
1. Meet Real People in a Secure Platform: Delta ensures that each member is thoroughly vetted through a security verification process to ensure the authenticity of the app and safety of the members.
2. Community: Delta also wishes to create a community, both online and offline, where members can be free and openly discuss important issues.
3. Support & Resources: Delta wishes to build a network of professionals that will help its members. The app will include friendly therapists, legal aid, counselling and will answer all the questions relating to sexual awareness.
As the app wishes to address the issues faced by the LGBT, they need resources to meet their targets. They have started a ‘bitgiving crowdfunding campaign’ for their project with a target to raise Rs 30 lakhs.
Show your support to them and contribute towards a label-less future here.
