Football and showbiz stars gathered in northern Argentina over this weekend for the Latin American celebrity’s wedding bash. Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi married his childhood sweetheart Antonella Roccuzzo on 30 June.

Messi, 30, grew up in a lower-middle-class neighbourhood in Rosario along with two brothers and a sister. Messi and Roccuzzo are childhood friends, and stayed in touch after he left to play soccer in Spain at age 13. They eventually started a romantic relationship in the late 2000s.
