It may be short but it’s everything that Game of Thrones fans around the world have been waiting for!
Causing a farrago of emotions among those who swear by the popular TV series, HBO on Monday, 27 August 2018, tweeted the trailer for its 2019 lineup.
The one minute and thirty second video had, besides footage from Game of Thrones Season 7, a three-second clip from the show’s upcoming and final season.
The clip shows Jon Snow (Kit Harington) hugging Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) implying their much-awaited union at the characters’ home at Winterfell.
Can’t. Keep. Calm.
GoT fans on Twitter could not keep their cool, of course! Here’s how they reacted.
Speculations and theories soon began to float around.
Is Sansa Looking at Daenerys?
Some speculated that, in the clip, Sansa is looking at Jon’s new love, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Jon and Daenerys’ union was confirmed at the end of Season 7. It remains to be seen how Sansa will react to this.
Here’s how HBO reacted to the frenzy.
As of now, HBO has said that the final season of Game of Thrones will premiere in the “first half” of 2019.
