For fans of Game of Thrones, the show is probably the greatest epic-fantasy adapted for TV. You don’t just watch GoT, you commit to it!
With seven seasons down and the eighth and final season approaching, a bittersweet goodbye awaits the fans and the cast of the show.
Emilia Clarke aka Daenerys Targaryen aka Khaleesi aka Mother of Dragons posted a heartfelt message on her social media about her GoT journey, bidding farewell to the show as shoots wrap up.
“Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade. It’s been a trip. Game of Thrones, thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing. (sic.),” read Clarke’s message.
Here’s how her co-stars Jason Momoa (who plays Khal Drogo), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) and Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), responded:
In an interview for ABC News, Clarke also said, “It really is the most heartbreaking thing to be filming the last of anything. I’ve become an emotional wreck on set.”
Love, betrayal, drama, politics, corruption, you name it, Game of Thrones has it. The last season of the show is set to air in 2019.
Fare thee well, Khaleesi.
I am not crying, you’re crying.
