Remember the 54-year-old Kevin Ford, a Burger King employee, who was awarded a 'goodie bag' for maintaining 100 percent attendance for 27 years of his employment? Well, now there's a wholesome end to that story.

Since Kevin's video had gone viral on twitter, Burger King received a lot of flak, and it drew attention to the poor treatement of employees by big corporations and the lack of worker's rights. After this incident, Kevin's daughter started a fundraised on 'Go fund me' which received an overwhelming support from people on the internet, and they collected over $1,50,000.

According to a report in News18, his daughter started the fundraiser as a way to thank her father for raising and supporting her and her siblings as a single parent, despite the hardships. The actor and comedian David Spade also generously donated to the fundraiser.

Previously, in the video that went viral, Kevin Ford showed the contents of the goodie bag. It included a movie ticket, a bag of Reese’s Pieces candy, a clear Starbucks tumbler, a lanyard, two pens, a couple of keychains and two packs of lifesavers. This drew flak from the users on Twitter, and they had pointed out that his loyalty and commitment were worth more than a measly goodie bag. Some even thought it was actually demeaning to give him the goodies.
