The makers of Toblerone have widened the gap between the chocolate triangles reducing the weight of a 400g bar to 360g and the 170g bar to 150g to maintain retail prices, to keep up with the rising costs of ingredients.
In an official statement on Facebook, Toblerone apologetically broke the atrocious news.
...to ensure Toblerone remains on-shelf, is affordable and retains the triangular shape, we have had to reduce the weight of just two of our bars in the UK, from the wider range of available Toblerone products.
Chocolate lovers in the UK and all over the world are certainly quite enraged, some even calling the new look “plain stupid”.
While US is in shock with a racist, sexist billionaire actually being elected into presidency, UK was left paralysed with the change in Toblerone triangles.
