For eight-year-old Levi, posing before a camera would always be more scary than one could imagine. Battling autism, Levi would always find himself anxious.

But this year was different. The reason being a T-Rex costume that helped his mom capture some wonderful photographs along with his best friend.

For most people in today’s world, taking photos is an everyday thing. But for many others, it might be very tough, in this case for an autistic Levy.

The mother’s original Facebook post.

She posted the photos on Reddit and Facebook and they quickly garnered a lot of attention. The pictures, clicked against the soothing golden light amongst green fields, featured Levi, dressed as his favourite dinosaur alongside Lola — his best friend.

While most readers appreciated the idea, some were not impressed by it at all.

Levi’s mother’s says she was criticised for highlighting her son’s disorder as some users alleged that she was seeking attention.

The following is an extract from her post:

As I was sitting there an emotional wreck, tears flooding my face, he sat down beside me, put his arms around me and told me it was all okay. He told me I was still a good person, a good mother. And that’s when I realized all he needed was to just be accepted and celebrated for who he is. To say I’m not writing this without sobbing would be a lie. I had failed as a mother. I had put so much energy into resenting what the doctors told me, that I never stopped to just love the brilliant, hilarious little human that was in front of me. And so came the need for me to show just how amazing he really is in the only way I knew how. Photography.

Most of the internet was in awe of the cute candids.

Carried away by Levi’s cuteness quotient, many prayed for the child’s bright future.
