Actor Ananya Panday has launched a ‘digital social initiative’ to combat cyber bullying called ‘So Positive’. The platform offers redressal to people who are being bullied online.
Recently, Ananya Panday was bullied online when anonymous accounts started sharing information about her having lied about her admission at the University of South California. She took to social media to clarify the allegations and put out admission letters that she received from the university.
After the incident, Panday launched ‘So+’ to mark World Social Media day. She shared a video explaining the concept of ‘digital social media responsibility’ and why it is important for someone to take a stand against social media bullying.
Her initiative has been appreciated by everyone across the Hindi film industry.
Although the initiative is set up to fight online bullying, it is still unclear how the redressal mechanism will kick in. The social media pages have not being re-directed to any portal at the moment to provide any further information.
Here’s how Bollywood appreciated the initiative.
All the best to the young star for this brave initiative.
